Betty's Scrappe Challenge

Our June Bettys' Scrap Challenge starts today! Shown below is this months kit/materials to be used. Cost is the same ($5), and prize will again be a $20.00 store voucher and your page on display in store for the whole next month. Last months entries were so unique and of such a high quality, we can't wait to see what comes in this month!

Thursday Night Class

Here's a sneak peek of next weeks 6Th June Thursday night class. It's a Rebecca Beattie designed page, and will focus on using some different medias', including texture paste, paint, layering and inking. You'll need to bring your tools, a 5"x7" portrait photo, and your tapes/glues. Tuition fee is the usual $15.00 to be paid separately, and kit cost is $20.00, so $35.00 all up. Book in quick to avoid missing out!

For all the mixed media fans and scrappers we have Gesso, Impasto and air dry clay now in stock! 

We Have A Winner!

After much deliberation and debate, we've been able to choose a winner from all the entries into our first Betty's Scrap Challenge.  This is two cards made from the scraps of these weeks class and our new paper flowers. Perfect for Mothers Day!

Something Blue - 12 Hour Crop

This is our first big event! Betty has been talking to a few of you, and has told us we need to host a 12 Hour crop, on the 25th of May this month. The theme will be the colour Blue, so we're asking everyone who wants to come along to wear a blue piece of clothing.

Cost will be $30.00 per person, which will include dinner, tea and coffee, you will need to provide your own lunch. Places are strictly limited, so the first in best dressed. Payment in full will be required when booking.

There will be a few door prizes and a raffle, Betty has instructed us to make sure it's a great day to remember. Don't miss out!

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!

Just arrived today are some gorgeous new flowers in beautiful pastel colours including white. They are 5cm in diameter and made from paper so great for coloring with your inks and sprays. We also have stamens, some are round (white, black and cream) and some are flocked (white, black and yellow). These are great for many different uses, and this weeks page has used the flocked style as butterfly antennas.

Some New Stuff!!!

We just got a delivery from PortaCraft. Some white and cream square cards and envelopes, white and blue C6 cards and envelopes, stamping blocks, stamp cleaner, mini pegs, craft containers, mist bottles and handsome masculine 3D stickers.

Betty's Scrappe Challenge

We are happy to announce Betty's first challenge to go on the Blog.  Starting this month, we're going to be holding a monthly page design competition! It's called Betty's Scrappe Challenge, and anyone and everyone is encouraged to enter. The rules are:

- Entry fee = $5, which gives you a kit provided by us.
- Come up with a page design using each element contained in the kit (does not have to be the whole element). You can add any other items/elements you wish.
- Pages will be judged by the AFSS page design team.
- All entrants pages will be displayed in-store for the month of the competition once received.
- Pages must be submitted by the 21st of the month.

Winner Receives:
- $20 AFSS gift voucher.
- Their page displayed in store for the following month and displayed on the Blog.

If you'd like to see your work on display in the shop and would like to win a gift voucher for your efforts, come on in! Places will be limited, so first in best dressed.
